GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION

Everyone, especially children, should be safe from gun violence
The fear of gun violence has penetrated our schools, work spaces and public venues. It is particularly harmful to our children whose learning is disrupted by active shooter drills which reinforce worries they should not be burdened with. It is our obligation to keep our children safe!
In the past ten years New Hampshire's gun laws have been gutted. Presently, we rank first/second in lax gun laws in the country. This needs to be reversed.
I support reasonable gun control; measures essential to reducing gun violence. This includes: gun registration, background checks, banning specific automatic weapons, banning weapons on school grounds and an Extreme Risk Protection Order law.
In addition, I would not lift the ban on brass knuckles or other weapons presently banned. They unacceptably raise a fistfight or altercation into a life-or-death situation. Normal punches already kill people every year. Brass knuckles make this more likely.
