"Presently, our representatives are authoring, co-sponsoring, and voting for extreme legislation in education, gun control, and women’s rights. The Republican majority has struggled this session with addressing affordable housing, raising the minimum wage, and valuing our natural environment.
We need to face these challenges together, not fight against each other. We also need leadership that listens to the voters and brings balance back to solutions."
Environment/Water Quality are essential to NH's well-being.
Efforts which protect and improve our air and water quality, conserve or transition our energy production/use, and curtail climate change will repay our economy many fold along with improving our health and well-being.
Public Schools are essential to our children, families and communities.
State efforts should support local control while encouraging statewide quality and effectiveness of all our traditional public schools.
Women's Freedom & Privacy must be guaranteed.
I support a woman's freedom to make decisions about her body and life, including using birth control and having an abortion.
Public School Funding is a constitutional obligation of the state.
All state funds dedicated to education should go to adequate funding for traditional public schools and the choices provided by this system, not Education Freedom Accounts or alternatives.
Everyone, especially children, should be safe from Gun Violence.
Reasonable gun control measures are essential to reducing gun violence, including gun registration, background checks, banning specific automatic weapons and an Extreme Risk Protection Order (Red Light) Law.
Affordable Housing is key to the NH Advantage.
Increased state financial support for workforce housing should be directed statewide and not just in NH's cities. The state meeting its adequate funding obligation to schools, through other sources than property taxes, will lower property taxes.
